Losing an Hour, Gaining Perspective

Twice a year, many people change their clocks. When the clocks go forward, we lose one hour of sleep. This can feel difficult at first. Mornings may feel darker, and our daily routine can feel a little strange.

However, there is also something positive about this change. The evenings are longer and brighter. We have more time to go outside, relax, or spend time with others. It reminds us that time is always moving.

This is also a good moment to think about how we use our time. Do we use it well? Do we take time to rest, or are we always busy? We cannot control time, but we can decide how we use it.

Expressions with “time”:

Time flies → Time passes very quickly, especially when you are enjoying yourself.

Time is money → Time is valuable, so it shouldn’t be wasted.

Kill time → To do something just to pass the time while waiting.

On time → Arriving or happening at the planned or correct time.
