🌸 Spring and Its Traditions
Spring is a beautiful season that comes after winter and before summer. The weather becomes warmer, flowers start to grow, and the days become longer. Many people feel happy in spring because nature looks fresh and colourful again. Around the world, different countries celebrate spring with special traditions and festivals.
Why Is Spring Special?
In spring, trees get new green leaves and many flowers bloom. Animals wake up after the cold winter. For many people, spring is a symbol of new beginnings, hope, and life. It is also a time when families and friends spend more time outside.
Easter
One important spring celebration in many countries is Easter. It is a Christian holiday that celebrates new life. People often decorate eggs and give chocolate eggs to children. In some countries, there are Easter egg hunts where children look for hidden eggs in gardens or parks. Families usually have a special meal together on this day.
Hanami in Japan
In Japan, people celebrate spring with a tradition called Hanami. During Hanami, families and friends go to parks to look at cherry blossom trees. The flowers are pink and white, and they are very beautiful. People often have picnics under the trees and take many photos. This tradition shows how people enjoy nature in spring.
Holi in India
In India, people celebrate spring with the festival of Holi. Holi is also called the Festival of Colours. During this festival, people throw coloured powder and water at each other. They dance, sing, and eat special food. Holi celebrates love, friendship, and the victory of good over evil.
Nowruz
Another spring celebration is Nowruz. It is the Persian New Year and is celebrated in countries like Iran and other parts of Central Asia. Nowruz means “new day.” Families clean their homes, wear new clothes, and prepare a special table with seven symbolic items. It is a time for family visits and good wishes for the new year.
Spring is a season of joy and new beginnings. Around the world, people celebrate spring in different ways, but all these traditions have one thing in common: they bring people together. Spring reminds us that after cold and dark days, warm and bright days will come again.
