La Journée Internationale sans Régime
La Journée Internationale sans Régime a été lancée pour la première fois au Royaume-Uni en 1992 par Mary Evans Young, une femme ayant surmonté un trouble de l’alimentation et souhaitant remettre en question l’obsession de la société pour la minceur et les régimes restrictifs. Depuis, le mouvement s’est répandu à travers le monde.
Pourquoi cette journée est-elle si importante ?
Dans de nombreuses cultures, nous sommes entourés de messages qui nous disent que nous devons avoir une certaine apparence pour être en bonne santé ou attirants. La culture des régimes promeut souvent des standards irréalistes qui peuvent entraîner une faible estime de soi, de l’anxiété, et même des troubles de l’alimentation.
La Journée Internationale sans Régime nous encourage à :
- Apprécier notre corps pour ce qu’il peut faire.
- Manger sans culpabilité ni honte.
- Remettre en question les standards de beauté nocifs.
- Se concentrer sur le bien-être mental et physique – pas seulement sur le poids.
C’est une occasion de faire une pause avec les régimes, de se montrer bienveillant envers soi-même, d’écouter son corps, et de célébrer ce qui nous rend uniques.
